The iconic Mexico 66® model was born in 1966 and debuted at the 1968 Olympic games pre-trials in Mexico with a premium white leather, stitched with red and blue tiger stripes. Today, the classic runner has been reawakened and remains to be the most popular shoe in the Onitsuka Tiger® collection. The legendary racer is taking a new approach by removing the laces and stitching the tongue to the inside panels of the upper. The side panels and tongue consist of synthetic canvas-like fibers while the toecap and heel consist of enhanced suede for lightweight and low profile purposes.
